Rules Meetings Scheduled

The Seekonk Speedway RULES MEETINGS for the 2008 season have been set. They will take place at the American Legion Hall at 350 Fall River Avenue in Seekonk, MA. Dates and times are as follows:

Pro Stocks - Weds - Nov14th @ 8:15pm

Late Models - Weds - Nov 14th @ 6:30pm

Trucks - Thurs - Nov 15th @ 6:30pm

Street Stocks - Thurs -Nov 15th @ 8:15pm

SYRA - Weds - Nov 28th @ 6:30pm

Pure Stocks - Weds - Nov 28th @ 8:15pm


Our Annual Awards Banquet will be held Saturday - January 19, 2008 @ Venus de Milo on Route 6 in Swansea, MA. Tickets are Available now online or by calling 508-336-9959
$30 per person, Limit 10 per Table

PURE STOCKS: PLEASE NOTE that the TOP FIVE in points will be honored at the banquet with trophy presentations (versus top three in 2006).

Mrs. Virginia Hudson

To our competitors and officials:
Mrs. Virginia Hudson, the mother of Seekonk Speedway Starter Rocky Hudson passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2007 after a long struggle with Alzheimer's Disease.
Viewing will be held on Sunday Oct 21 from 4pm - 8pm at the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, located at 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick RI.
Funeral services will be held on Monday Oct 22nd at 9am from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home with funeral Mass following at 10am @ St. Kevins Church on Sandy Lane, Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
The Seekonk Speedway family sends its sincere condolences to Rocky and his family during this difficult time.

Obituary:
Hudson, Virginia, M., (Austin), 83, of Warwick, died Thursday, October 18, 2007 at home. A lifelong Warwick resident, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Marie (Kelly) Austin. Virginia was employed as a lunch aide for the School Lunch Program in Warwick before retiring. She was a communicant of St. Kevin Church and a life member of the Oakland Beach Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. Virginia was the devoted mother of John T. Hudson, Marie Ann Langhoff and Kenneth A. “Rocky” Hudson. Sister of Beverly Reed, Harold and Walter Austin. She also leaves her 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
